COVID-19 UPDATE
Managing the Impact of COVID-19 on your business. All businesses & individuals are impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and Government are concentrating on ensuring that the spread of the virus is controlled in as much as possible. The Taoiseach outlined that all in the supply chain are front-line workers and this includes Drivers of commercial vehicles. We are a vital cog in the fight against COVID-19. The importance of Heavy Goods Vehicle Drivers, warehouse operatives and all in the supply chain has really been demonstrated over the past number of weeks.
“FTAI is urging all businesses within the supply chain to work cohesively and constructively together to protect the welfare of the industry’s employees, subcontractors and drivers. This will help to ensure that businesses can continue to supply the goods and services the country relies upon.”
FTA Ireland have plans and procedures in place to ensure our employees/trainers/auditors continue to have the current information they need to stay healthy and protected from Covid-19, and to ensure we are all abiding by the HSEs guidelines to help prevent the spread of the virus – please visit the HSE website daily for updates and preventative actions at the HSE’s website.
It is important for the economy and for the protection of jobs and the health of our staff that we adhere to the expert guidance and we will be following these guidelines strictly. It is incumbent on all of us to manage this situation as best as we can.
